Lebanese American contemporary multidisciplinary artist based in Michigan; Sara Harajli approaches creativity as both a lifelong passion and a way of understanding the world. Since childhood, creating has been less of a practice than an instinct, whether quietly sketching in the margins of notebooks or becoming absorbed in handcrafted projects. What began as curiosity has matured into an evolving artistic language rooted in observation, reflection, and storytelling.

Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Interior Design, Sara’s creative perspective has been shaped by experience across fine art, spatial design, luxury furniture, and freelance creative work. These disciplines have cultivated a sensitivity to composition, materiality, and the emotional relationship between people and the spaces and objects they inhabit.

At the heart of her work is a desire to translate stories into visual form. Drawing inspiration from identity, memory, culture, nature, and the quiet complexities of the human experience. Her pieces explore what often exists beneath language. Rather than offering definitive narratives, they invite contemplation, creating space for mystery, stillness, and personal interpretation.

Working across traditional and digital media, Sara embraces experimentation as an essential part of her practice. Graphite, charcoal, ink, mixed media, and digital illustration each serve as vehicles for expression rather than defining her work. A restrained palette often marked by the intentional absence of color encourages viewers to slow down, engage their imagination, and discover meaning within simplicity.
